The UK Cornhole League (UKCL), the premier organisation championing the sport of cornhole across the United Kingdom, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ashley Ervin and Nikki Latham to its advisory board. With their profound experience in the sport through the American Cornhole Organization (ACO), and as certified officials who have organised numerous cornhole tournaments in the United States, Ashley and Nikki bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to the burgeoning cornhole community in the UK.
Ashley Ervin, a wife, mother of three, and an entrepreneur running a successful Mini Donut food truck, has made significant strides in the cornhole world over the past four years. "Cornhole has become such a huge sport; it's easy to bring people together, regardless of skill level," says Ervin. Her commitment to growing the sport in the SEMO area and beyond has seen her running ACO sanctioned tournaments and working with some of the best tournament directors, leveraging Scoreholio technology to run seamless events.
The UKCL is excited to harness Ashley's experience in utilizing Scoreholio for tournament organisation, her knack for engaging communities, and her innovative approach to growing the sport's presence. "Not only do I want to help get the UKCL started, but I'm also excited to watch it grow from the ground up. It's an honour to help build the league," Ervin expressed, emphasizng her long-term commitment to the UKCL's success.
Joining Ashley on the advisory board is Nikki Latham. Alongside her husband, Brian Latham, Nikki brings 23 years of partnership and a shared passion for cornhole, which began in their backyard and has since taken them to ACO regionals and beyond. In her first year as a Certified Official (CO) with the ACO, Nikki has excelled in organising tournaments, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to regulations. Running the Union Co Cornhole league has allowed her to engage with players of all ages and skill levels, some of whom have progressed to ACO play. Nikki's approach to tournament management—focusing on efficiency, community involvement, and the user experience—makes her a valuable asset to the UKCL advisory board.
Together, Ashley and Nikki's roles will focus on providing guidance on all things Scoreholio, advising on tournament organisation, and offering strategic insights to improve the UKCL league. Their collective experience is expected to be invaluable in addressing the challenges of increasing participation, engaging businesses, and ensuring the smooth running of tournaments.
