Excitement is already building ahead of the UKCL National Championships Tier 2 competition, and the early registrations are proving that this year’s event will be as fiercely contested as ever. Among the first players to confirm their places are the dynamic husband-and-wife duo, Ian and Vikki Biddulph, two of the league’s most beloved personalities.
Since making their debut in Season 2, the Biddulphs have become fixtures on the UK cornhole scene — not only for their gameplay, but for their dedication to the sport and infectious energy. Hailing from Lincolnshire, they are the proud founders of the Lincolnshire Imps Cornhole Club, helping grow the game in their local community and beyond.
Ian, a welder by trade, is a regular on the boards when his schedule allows. When he’s not playing, you’ll find him enjoying hobbies like shooting, barbecuing, and smoking meats. But make no mistake — he’s coming into Nationals with serious intent. After finishing 7th at last year’s Tier 1 Championships, Ian is aiming to break into the top 10 again, and potentially go even higher. He fondly remembers comeback matches from last season, including close contests against Nick Pettitt and Dave Moray, where his signature “accidental” airmail drag became the talk of the tournament.

Vikki, meanwhile, brings her own fire to the boards. An Operational Service Manager for the NHS, she balances a demanding career with her passions for gardening, Lego building, and pole dancing — but when it’s game time, she’s locked in. Her recent 4th-place finish at the ACO Women’s event shows just how far she’s come, and she’ll be hoping to build on that success in June. One of her personal highlights? A nail-biting one-point loss to Graham Davies, and of course, the now-legendary “backside airmail” that clinched a win over Ian in Season 2. She’s determined to repeat that feat this year!

The Biddulphs bring both competitive edge and community spirit wherever they go, and their presence at Statfold Country Park on June 7th will no doubt add to the energy and camaraderie that defines UKCL events. With more names set to be announced in the coming weeks, Tier 2 is shaping up to be a showdown filled with passion, personality, and unforgettable moments.
